With this Editorial we would like to inform our readers about a change in the team of Editors-in-Chief of the Journal for General Philosophy of Science.

Claus Beisbart has decided to resign from his position as co-Editor-in-Chief with the end of 2020. JGPS has been fortunate to find Guido Bacciagaluppi willing to assume the role of the new co-Editor-in-Chief as Claus’ successor. After working at universities in various countries, including England, the USA, France,Australia and Scotland, Guido Bacciagaluppi has been employed at Utrecht University in the Netherlands since 2015. He is a well-recognised philosopher of science with philosophy and history of modern physics as main field of research. JGPS will benefit greatly from this, as well as from the experience he has gained from his previous and ongoing activities for various other journals.

Helmut Pulte and Thomas Reydon would like to welcome Guido Bacciagaluppi and are looking forward to many years of collaboration with Guido in the journal’s team of three Editors-in-Chief. As has so far been the case, all three Editors-in-Chief continue to be jointly responsible for the journal’s content.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Claus Beisbart for his tireless, competent and always extremely careful work for the journal during his six years as co-Editor-in-Chief. His dedication and expertise in areas such as philosophy of physics and cosmology, epistemology of model building and simulation or probability have contributed significantly to the development of JGPS since 2015, when he joined the editorial team. He will be missed as co-Editor-in-Chief but as a new member of the journal’s Editorial Advisory Board he will continue to be an important factor in the journal’s future development. Our heartfelt and sincere thanks to you for your work, Claus!
