Some aspects of the electrolytic production of magnesium in IG cells

Conclusion

The economic results of the production of magnesium in an IG electrolytic cell are greatly dependent on know-how. The process offers a number of interesting problems, and seems to have great development potential. In addition to know-how local conditions are of decisive importance for process economy.
