The two-component fireball model applied to meson-proton multiplicity data

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

A two-component model previously applied to proton-proton multiplicity data is compared with meson-proton data from (10÷360) GeV/c. From the best fits obtained, we confirm the structure of the proton leading fireball found in pp interactions. The meson leading fireball decays somewhat more copiously than its proton counterpart, while the parameters of the central fireball are found to be sensitive to the nature of the incoming particles.
