Resumen
Se plantea un problema meteorológico en el que interesa una transformación no lineal de una variable cuantitativa (la precipitación diaria), cuyas peculiaridades desaconsejan una transformación continua. El Análisis de Correlaciones Canónicas con restricciones de orden da una solución razonable, pero numerosos problemas quedan abiertos.
Summary
A Meteorological problem is stated in which a quantitative variable (daily rainfall) should be transformed; because of its pculiar characteristics, a continuous transformation is not advisable. Canonical Correlation Analysis with order restrictions provides a sensible solution, but many related problems are still open.
