Abstract

Ceramic filters made of A12O3 and TiC for purifying drinking water are described. A study conducted by the ROSA analytic center shows that the filters quite efficiently clean drinking water of an elevated content of Fe, Mn, Ba, Ce, Zn, U, and other elements contained in it. The filters also reduce the content of dissolved organic carbon and some toxic compounds.
