Abstract
A transmission Mössbauer study of Mn0.99Fe0.01As was performed. At the first order transition near room temperature, all hyperfine parameters show abrupt changes. Bhf at the Fe nucleus shows a peculiar temperature variation, with a maximum value of ≅1.2 T. This field is very small relative to a field of 22.7 T at the Mn nucleus measured by N. M. R. The hyperfine interactions are explained within the low ↔ high spin transition model.
