Observations of horizontal displacements of the dam of the Sayano-Shushenskoe hydroelectric station by the elongated triangle method

Hydrotechnical Construction Aims and scope

Conclusions

The stationary system of elongated triangles considerably reduces the time and labor expenditures for observations of the horizontal displacements of the arch dam. A high accuracy of the measurements is provided in this case.

Displacements of the dam toward the lower pool reached 15 mm and depend mainly on the water level in the reservoir.
