Abstract
Recent observations lead to a revision of the taxonomic position of some thermophilic fungi. The genus Sporotrichum Link ex Fr. is a basidiomycete. Sporotrichum thermophilum Apinis is proposed to belong to the genus Chrysosporium Corda. Thielavia thermophila Fergus and Sinden is a member of the genus Corynascus Arx. Its conidial state is redescribed for which it is named Chrysosporium fergusii.
