Zusammenfassung

Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen sind neben psychischen Störungen die wichtigste Gruppe chronischer Erkrankungen, die zur globalen Krankheitslast beitragen. Nahezu jeder zweite im Jahr 2012 in Deutschland Verstorbene ist an einer Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankung gestorben. Tragisch ist, dass viele dieser Todesfälle verfrüht und vermeidbar wären. Die wichtigste und häufigste Störung ist die Arteriosklerose, die zu Herzinfarkt, Angina pectoris, Schlaganfall und peripherer Verschlusskrankheit führen kann. Zu den Risikofaktoren für die Arteriosklerose gehören Verhaltensweisen wie Rauchen, falsche Ernährung, Bewegungsmangel, Stress und Depression. Häufige psychische Begleiterkrankungen sind Depression und Angststörungen, wobei vor allem Depressionen die Prognose von bereits Herzkranken deutlich verschlechtern. Die psychologischen Behandlungsansätze konzentrieren sich deswegen auf den Abbau von Risikoverhalten, die Förderung von Gesundheitsverhalten und die Behandlung von Depression und Angst.
