Abstract

Typical complications may arise during and after reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). We distinguish errors of operating technique from complications that arise during the course of healing. In this article we shall discuss several technical pitfalls, identify their causes, and recommend steps and measures for avoiding these complications.
