Abstract
The arrival of the so-called ‘information society’ has now been discussed at length for nearly a decade and a half. The coming of the ‘information society’ has been documented as a general tendency in both capitalist and socialist societies. This social change has also often been alluded to, under labels different from ‘information society’.
