Background of gravitational-wave antennas of possible terrestrial origin.-II

Summary

In order to deepen the analysis of the events recorded during May 1980 by the Frascati antenna (see the previous paper), we have Fourier-analysed their times of arrival and found the following periods of free oscillation of the Earth: ℱ(0 S -12 )=55.03, ℱ(0 S -12 )=53.12, ℱ(0 S 4=25.84, ℱ(0 T 3=28.85 minutes. A similar analysis of data collected in June–July 1978 has shown the following periods: ℱ(0 S -12 )=55.23, ℱ(0 S -23 )=36.23, ℱ(0 S -23 )=35.30, ℱ(0 S 0=20.38÷20.61, ℱ(0 T 2=41.18, ℱ(0 T 4 -3=21.73, ℱ(0 T 4 +3=21.64 minutes. The probability for these periods to be accidental in all cases is very small.
